Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:6327874
Contract No. EF-77-C-01-2542 between Conoco Inc. and the US Department of Energy provides for the design, construction, and operation of a demonstration plant capable of processing bituminous caking coals into clean pipeline quality gas. The project is currently in the design phase (Phase I). This phase is scheduled to be completed in June 1981. One of the major efforts of Phase I is the completion of the process design and the project engineering design of the Demonstration Plant. This design effort has been completed. A report of the design effort is being issued in 24 volumes. This is Volume 24 which reports the specifications for the engineering design, equipment fabrication, and erection of the Demonstration Plant. These are generically termed the Job Specifications. The Job Specifications are divided into ten parts: Basic Engineering Data, Towers and Pressure Vessels, Heat Transfer Equipment, Mechanical Equipment, Civil Engineering, Piping, Instruments, Electrical, Materials Protection, Support Facilities and Miscellaneous. The Job Specifications were devised by Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation, Conoco Inc., and the US Army Engineering Division - Huntsville. They are specific for the Demonstration Plant.
