The illustrated manual provides mine safety personnel, the Mine Health and Safety Administration (MSHA) inspectors, and original-equipment manufacturers with guidelines and a checklist for inspecting Rollover Protective Structures (ROPS) being used in the field. The manual discusses specific requirements of the MSHA regulations and minimum inspection and maintenance checks for ensuring compliance with those regulations. An easily reproducible checklist is provided as an aid to the inspection of ROPS.
