Multihadron currents in the ([ital e],[ital e][prime]) reaction process

In this talk we review difficulties with the quasifree interpretation of the quasielastic ([ital e],[ital e][prime]) peak. We present evidence from ([ital e],[ital e][prime][ital p]) coincidence experiments for the existence of two- and many-body currents in the ([ital e],[ital e][prime]) reaction process. This evidence includes details about the longitudinal and transverse response functions and their differences. Missing energy spectra that extend to very large missing energies are also discussed. Results of [sup 12]C([ital e],[ital e][prime][ital d]) are presented.
