The purpose of the conference was to promote the exchange of technical, operating, economic, and scientific information pertaining to all aspects of fluidized-bed combustion. Volume 2 contains 79 papers on the following topics: AFBC commercial and demonstration plants; PFBC filter issues; waste/sludge firing; AFBC design studies; NO[sub x] and nitrous oxide emission; tube bundle issues; ash management; hydrodynamics; PFBC commercial and demonstration plants; refractories for circulating fluidized beds; PFBC pilot plants; sorbent performance; AFBC design studies; PFBC technology advancements; heat transfer; and PFBC hot gas cleanup. All papers have been processed for inclusion on the data base.
