B/sub 5/ Phenomenology with even daughter trajectories

The fact that only even daughter trajectories in hadron reactions are found to exist in nature is discussed, in relation to the predictions of the Veneziano model, and its generalization the B/sub 5/ phenomenology, that resonances exist on the main Regge trajectory and all daughter trajectories. It is shown that the contribution of resonances on the odd daughter trajectories vanishes when certain auxiliary conditions are imposed on the parameters of the trajectories which determine the amplitude of the five-particle reaction.
