Chemical shielding tensors of /sup 13/C in solid dimethyl oxalate

The communication presents a preliminary report of the carbon-13 shielding tensors measured in a single crystal of dimethyl oxalate. The tensors should be useful for comparison with the only other reported full measurements in carbon-oxygen groups: /sup 13/C=O in benzophenone, /sup 13/C-OH and /sup 13/CO/sub 2//sup -/ in tartrate, and /sup 13/CO/sub 3//sup -/ in calcite.
