Radio sources in the Monoceros R2 association of reflection nebulae

Journal Article · · Sov. Astron. Lett. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:6302363
The field of the Mon R2 association of reflection nebulae has been observed at 7.6-cm wavelength with the RATAN-600 radio telescope. Eight new sources have been detected, including the emission--reflection nebulae NGC 2170 and DG 92 as well as a compact source probably related to the group of reflection nebulae around NGC 2182. Radio sources are four times as abundant within the association as in the statistical mean background and, like the reflection nebulae, their distribution parallels the south border of the dark cloud L1646.
