Evidence for deflection of the Gulf Stream at the Charleston Rise

Observational evidence is reported for a quasi-permanent deflection of the Gulf Stream along the continental margin of the South Atlantic Bight near Charleston, South Carolina. Results from hydrographic, nutrient and remote sensing data are included. (JMT)
