Pion-induced quasifree knockout and charge-exchange reactions: A possible probe of neutron density at the nuclear surface

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. C; (United States)
The pion-induced quasifree nucleon knockout and charge-exchange reactions are shown to have a strong sensitivity to the difference between neutron and proton densities at the nuclear surface. Their possible use as a probe of the neutron densities is discussed.
