Selected technical reports which were produced during the years 1976-79 as a result of the Siam Institute for Mathematics and Society (SIMS) Three Year Study on Statistics and Environmental Factors in Health are presented. Members of the Study have been Columbia University, Stanford University, and SIMS. The Columbia University component of the SIMS study concentrated on biostatistical and epidemiological studies of the health effects of air pollution. Eleven papers are presented. Thirteen Stanford University produced papers are included under the following section headings: air pollution and health; temporal and spatial stochastic models; and extreme values. (JGB)
