/sup 13/C(p,p')/sup 13/C /sup / reaction at T/sub p/ = 547 MeV

Differential cross sections and analyzing powers have been measured between theta/sub lab/ = 6.5/sup 0/ and 34.5/sup 0/ for scattering of 547-MeV polarized protons from /sup 13/C. Data for the (1/2)/sup -/ (0.0), (1/2)/sup +/ (3.09), (3/2)/sup -/ (3.68), (5/2)/sub 1//sup +/ (3.85), (5/2)/sub 2//sup +/ (6.86), (5/2)/sup -/ (7.55), 1/2/sub 2//sup -/ (8.86), and (9/2)/sup +/ (9.50) states are presented. The elastic scattering data were analyzed with a potential calculated in the impulse approximation and the resulting distorted waves were used in the distorted-wave impulse approximation analysis of the inelastic data with microscopic transition densities based on shell model wave functions.
