Journal Article · · Am. Assoc. Pet. Geol., Bull.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6296158
During 1983, the levels of drilling activity in Arkansas, north Louisiana, and east Texas (CSD districts 1, 9, and 24) fluctuated from levels reached in 1982. East Texas and north Louisiana had significant declines in both exploratory and developmental drilling. However, Arkansas had a slight increase in both exploratory and development drilling. Success rates for exploratory drilling decreased substantially in all 3 areas. Development drilling also had a slight decrease in success rates, but it was not as severe as the decreases in exploration success rates. 5 figures, 7 tables.
