Hydrogen bonding in a 2,4,6-tribromoaniline crystal (in Russian)

Journal Article · · J. Struct. Chem. (Engl. Transl.); (United States)
OSTI ID:6293078

The crystal structure of 2,4,6-tribromoaniline was established on the basis of an X-ray diffraction experiment in an earlier paper (space group 212121, Z = 4); in which it was stated that there are no hydrogen bonds in crystals of this amine. In the present work the authors carried out an investigation of the IR spectra of crystals of 2,4,6-tribromoaniline deuterated at the amino group in the region of the stretching vibrations of the amino group, whose results contradict that conclusion.
