Thermal expansion and Grueneisen parameter of Tl/sub 2/S

In this paper, with the goal of studying the character of the chemical bond between atoms in the crystal and the anharmonicity of the dynamics of the thermal vibrations, we have investigated the linear thermal expansion coefficients and the isothermal compressibility coefficients of Tl/sub 2/S in the temperature interval 5-350/sup 0/K. We have also calculated some characteristics of the phonon spectrum of Tl/sub 2/S: the heat capacity at constant volume, the Gruneisen parameter, and the anharmonicity coefficient of the heat capacity.
