Direct Digital Control (DDC), which has proved its worth in the industrial process control marketplace throughout the 70s, is finding increasing applications in controlling the mechanical heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems of buildings. With the rapid advancement of microprocessor technology, DDC offers additional capabilities which may lead to dramatic technological advance in the automatic temperature control industry.
