Construction of 2 major offshore pipelines in the Danish Sector of the North Sea, one a gas pipeline, the other a crude oil pipeline, with both providing an outlet for production from Denmark's various fields is described. Current oil production, estimates of reserves, and expected gas production to be transported in the 30-in. gas pipeline running from the Tyra Field main gas processing center to the new onshore gas treatment plant now being built at Nybro on the west coast of Jutland are given. Problems with defective pipe laid from shore out toward the platform are examined. A diagram of offshore oil and gas lines which are parallel along the Jutland coast is presented.
