This bibliography contains citations concerning the decomposition of toxic materials by biological means. Bacteria, enzymes, and bioluminescence are among the methods discussed. Bacteria and enzymes that digest toluene, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), selenium wastes, oil shale waste, uranium, oil sludge, and pesticides are discussed. The biodegradation of rubber wastes, and pentachlorophenol are also considered. Flavobacterium and white rot fungus are among the biological agents highlighted.
