Behaviour of polyacetylene film electrodes in non-aqueous electrolytes

The kinetics of the electrochemical /rho/-doping process of polyacetylene film electrodes have been studied in the LiClO/sub 4/-propylene carbonate electrolyte, by cyclic voltam try and polarization curves. The results show that the electrochemical process is controlled by the slow diffusion of the ClO/sub 4/-dopant species from the bulk of the electrode to the interface.
