The connection of rare decays to supersymmetric grand unification is highlighted, and a review of the status of rare decay experiments is given. Plans for future investigations of processes that violate lepton flavor are discussed. A new result from the MEGA experiment, a search for {mu}{sup +}{r_arrow}e{sup +}{gamma}, is reported to be B.R.{lt}3.8{times}10{sup {minus}11} with 90{percent} confidence. {copyright} {ital 1997 American Institute of Physics.}
