Report of the meeting of the workshop panel and principals of the preliminary social and environmental assessment of the ERDA Solar Energy Program

The purposes of the workshop were to: (1) provide the opportunity for person-to-person commentary on and explanation of the project's draft reports as presented by SRI and EEA; (2) provide the opportunity for a critical review of the draft reports by workshop panel members; (3) foster input, feedback, and suggestions from the workshop panel for the staff of SRI and EEA; (4) assess the need for any project mid-course corrections, alterations or reaffirmations; (5) consider a process by which SRI, EEA, ERDA and IMS could make immediate and future use of the inputs provided by the workshop panel; (6) evaluate alternatives on the timing and function of future roles of the workshop panel in the course of the project; and (7) clarify and/or re-enunciate project roles of the principals. Discussions and comments are summarized, and accomplishments are listed. (WHK)
