For a well produced at a constant flow rate the inner boundary condition remains the same during production and shut-in periods. The flow rate on the well is only changing from some constant value (production) to zero (shut in). In this case the principle of superposition of solutions can be used to determine the pressure distribution throughout the reservoir for any moment of time. This method cannot be used to determine the buildup pressures for a well produced at a constant bottom-hole pressure. This work uses an approximate equation for the pressure drop in the reservoir at production time as an initial pressure distribution for the shut-in period. In order to determine the buildup pressures after the production period, the solution of the diffusivity equation was used that describes the pressure change on the axis of a cylindrical body with a known initial pressure distribution placed in an infinite medium at a constant initial pressure.
