The muon-capture rate for the reaction ..mu../sup -/ + /sup 6/Li ..-->.. /sup 3/H + /sup 3/H + ..nu../sub ..mu../ is calculated by the use of the elementary-particle model. The form factors describing the axial current matrix element are determined by pion-capture data for the reaction ..pi../sup -/ + /sup 6/Li ..-->.. /sup 3/H + /sup 3/H via the partially conserved axial vector current hypothesis and results based on the impulse approximation. The form factors describing the vector current matrix element are obtained from the reactions ..gamma.. + /sup 6/Li ..-->.. /sup 3/H + /sup 3/He and /sup 3/H + /sup 3/He ..-->.. ..gamma.. + /sup 6/Li via the conserved vector current hypothesis. Two results are presented for which the assumptions vary, GAMMA = 104.9 sec/sup -1/ and GAMMA = 160.5 sec/sup -1/.
