h/sub 11/2/ band in /sup 159/Tm and the second yrast crossing in /sup 158/Er and /sup 160/Yb

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. C; (United States)
All the members of the h/sub 11/2/ rotational structure have been observed in /sup 159//sub 69/Tm up to spin 49/2/sup +/. The alignments of these bands relative to the core nuclei /sup 158//sub 68/Er/sub 90/ and /sup 160//sub 70/Yb/sub 90/ are presented. These data provide additional evidence that the second backbend of the yrast structure of the core results from an (h/sub 11/2/)/sup 2/ proton alignment.
