Study of the inclusive production of. delta. /sup + +/ and. delta. /sup 0/ isobars in K/sup -/p interactions at 32 GeV/c

The properties of the inclusive production of ..delta../sup + +/ and ..delta../sup 0/ isobars are studied on the basis of the total statistics (approx.115 000 inelastic interactions) of a K/sup -/p experiment at 32 GeV/c. It is found that the cross sections for inclusive production of ..delta../sup + +/ and ..delta../sup 0/ isobars are sigma(..delta../sup + +/) = 1.71 +- 0.14 mb and sigma(..delta../sup 0/) = 1.27 +- 0.25 mb. Some differential cross sections for production of these isobars are established and the angular characteristics of the decay of ..delta../sup + +/ are considered.
