Atlas of stress-corrosion and corrosion fatigue curves

Book ·
OSTI ID:6259960
A reference work on stress-corrosion cracking and corrosion fatigue is presented. The book contains a large number of stress/cracking-time curves, S/N curves, and other data which can be used to find the effects of various corrosive media and processing variables on the stress corrosion cracking and corrosion fatigue characteristics of various alloys. Alloys of aluminum, copper titanium are covered along with superalloys and the nonferrous alloys. Carbon steels, alloy steels, and stainless steels are addressed and the effects of grain size, cooling rate, stress intensity, and temperatures are presented along with environments containing calcium nitrate, dry nitrogen, mineral oil, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, wet air, fresh water, and seawater.
