It is found that there is an empirical correlation between phonon spectrum parameters lambda, <..omega..>, <..omega../sup 2/> and the Hall coefficients R/sub H/ in a variety of nontransition metals and alloys. There is a maximum of lambda, <..omega..> and <..omega../sup 2/> as R/sub H/ = -3.5: -4.0 x 10/sup -11/ m/sup 3//AS. There is also a similar empirical correlation between lambda, <..omega..>, <..omega../sup 2/> and the Hall coefficients R/sub HL/ for the corresponding liquid metals. Finally, the question of raising T/sub c/ of amorphous superconductors is discussed.
