Proton-hole-induced bands in odd-odd /sup 116,118,120,122/I nuclides

..delta..J = 1 bands were observed in the odd-odd /sup 116en-dash122/I nuclides with the (/sup 12/C,pn), (/sup 10/B,4n), and (/sup 7/Li,3n) reactions via ..gamma..-ray spectroscopy. In all four cases, the band properties are consistent with the collectivity associated with the g/sub 9/2/ proton-hole intruder and a decoupled h/sub 11/2/ neutron.
