Progress is reported in studies on the fixation of strontium-90 in the plow layer of cultivated soils, laboratory investigations of the fixation of strontium by various soil types, the adsorption of strontium on various types of soils and clays, the effect of exchangeable calcium in soils on the uptake of radiostrontium, and the yield and strontium-89 content of cowpeas grown on various soil types at several exchangeable calcium levels.
