sup 116 Sn from sup 116 Cd(. alpha. ,4 n. gamma. ) reaction

The {sup 116}Sn nucleus was studied with the ({alpha},4{ital n}) reaction on {sup 116}Cd. Investigation of the interband and intraband transitions from the excited states of the {sup 116}Sn nucleus was carried out by measuring gamma-ray singles, gamma-gamma coincidence, and gamma-ray angular distribution. The excitation functions of several transitions have also been studied and the absolute cross sections of ({alpha},{ital xn}) reactions have been measured.
