Constitutive models of deformation

Book ·
OSTI ID:6253416
Proceedings of the ARO Workshops on Constitutive Models held in Blacksburg, Virginia in March 1986. Mathematical modeling of the response of deformable materials to interaction with various physical phenomena requires a priori assumptions about the behavior of the materials when subjected to specific loads. This behavior is termed the constitutive behavior. The workshop brought together scientists involved in the modeling of constitutive behavior in both real-world and academic settings. Papers address problems in areas such as the deformation of metals at high temperature, the flow of granular materials, and the deformation of semiconductors.
