Fairchild 7B compressor model

The Fairchild 7B centrifugal compressor used in the X-326 isotopic ''top'' cascade at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant has been modeled using a proprietary computer code called COMPAL by Concepts E.T.I., Inc. of Norwich, VT. The 7B compressor is described and some results of the modeling calculations are presented. Performance characteristics curves (PR/sub b/vs. flow and PR/sub a/) are included for UF/sub 6/ gas for two compressor inlet temperatures.
