High p/sub T/. pi. /sup 0/ production with. cap alpha cap alpha. and. cap alpha. p beams at the CERN ISR

The invariant cross-sections of ..pi../sup 0/'s produced in ..cap alpha cap alpha.. and ..cap alpha..p collisions at the ISR were measured out to 7 GeV/c in p/sub T/. These measurements will be compared with ..pi../sup 0/ production in pp collisions at equivalent values of ..sqrt..s/nucleon, and the variation of the nuclear A-dependence term ..cap alpha.. with p/sub T/ will be determined. Correlations of ..pi../sup 0/'s with the trigger ..pi../sup 0/ will also be presented.
