Stimulation of water injection wells with micellar dispersions

Stimulation of water injection wells is accomplished by injection into the well 1 to 500 gal of acid followed by the injection of 1 to 500 gal of a micellar dispersion, the gallons of acid and dispersion based on vertical feet of oil-bearing formation. Preferably, the acid is followed by 0.5 to 50 vol of water per vol of acid, i.e., a water slug is injected before the micellar solution. (28 claims)
