This single channel analyzer (SCA) has very good stability, and linearity, and can be accurately calibrated. The window width change with lower level adjustment is exceptionally small. The SCA has three modes of operation: upper level control adjusting window, upper level control adjusting upper level independent of lower level setting, and integral (all pulses above lower level accepted). There are four models of the SCA. Listed are the differences in model characteristics: (LE 13837-1) only SCA output is a negative spike 8 volts in amplitude; (LE 13837-1M2) SCA output is positive and negative gate pulses adjustable in width; (LE 13837-1M3) SCA output is positive adjustable-width gate, and negative spike; and (LE 13837-1M4) output circuit identical to -1M2 but provision is made for generating the output only in coincidence with a strobe pulse input (for example from a baseline-crossing time pickoff unit).
