Profile of air quality in Region V

This document illustrates the attainment/non-attainment designations for the five criteria pollutants (sulfur dioxide, total suspended particulates, ozone, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide) for the states comprising USEPA - Region V (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin). The air quality designations detailed in these maps are based upon information available as of July of 1980. For additional information regarding current air quality data, legal and procedural requirements for attainment areas, etc., the appropriate regional, state or local environmental agencies should be contacted.
