State of the art microprocessor technology applied to cryogenic temperature readout and control

Standard analog systems are discussed and application of digital techniques to those requirements are introduced. Design, construction, and objectives are outlined and the product described with a photo of the programmable microprocessor digital temperature controller. A functional block diagram of the model is presented. Evaluation results include a table showing application to a small cryogenic refrigerator. Possible applications are proposed with a summary of findings and proposals.
