Manufacture of the JET toroidal field coils

The coil design, the manufacturing method and the tools built for the production line have been described in a number of earlier papers. This paper gives a review of the delivery situation. Based on the experience gathered during more than two years of series coil production, two major manufacturing problems are discussed. The most recent test of the so-called soft and sliding layer is explained. 11 refs.
