Fuel density-radius diagnostic for inertial confinement fusion experiments

The fuel density-radius product (/rho/R) is an important parameter in inertial confinement fusion (ICF) experiments. A number of methods for measuring the tamper and fuel /rho/R of ICF targets have been proposed and developed. This paper considers a diagnostic for the direct measurement of fuel /rho/R in D/sub 2/ filled ICF targets.
