CP violation, tritium beta decay, and neutrinoless double-beta decay

CP-violation effects in neutrinoless double-beta decays are discussed in the case of two-generation Majorana neutrinos. It is shown that the recent experimental results of /sup 3/H beta decay and neutrinoless double-beta decay, when taken at their face values, imply that the CP-violating phase angle in the mixing matrix for the left-handed lepton sector must be less than 16/sup 0/.
