Short range phenomena

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6213637

The theoretical approaches to treating quark degrees of freedom and relativistic effects in short range phenomena are summarized. One issue emphasized with regard to all the approaches discussed is the extent to which charge and current operators can be unambiguously determined from the underlying dynamics. If these operators are not constrained by the dynamics, then the electromagnetic experiments described would be expected to be less effective in giving direct information about the underlying physics. Recommendations for future work in the area are summarized. (LEW)
