Users hook EMS to solar, take tax credit on whole job

Energy-management equipment, which has no energy tax incentives, can be combined with solar equipment to earn the 15% federal tax credit in effect through 1984 as well as the 10% investment tax credit. State tax credits can boost this 25% incentive an additional 10 to 40%. These incentives can shorten payback periods as much as by half. Users report their strategies in combining control and solar energy systems. (DCK)
