Study of n-barn interactions at 6. 1 GeV/c

On the basis of the total statistics of about 5000 d-bard interactions obtained by exposing the Lyudmila liquid-hydrogen bubble chamber in a separated beam of antideuterons with momentum 12.2 GeV/c we investigated inelastic n-barn interactions at 6.1 GeV/c. From analysis of the reaction d-bard..-->..p-bar/sub s/+p/sub s/+X we determine the characteristics of n-barn interactions. The cross sections for the exclusive channels in n-barn interactions are presented, including those for the double-charge-exchange channel. The single-particle inclusive spectra of ..pi../sup +- / mesons, protons, and antiprotons are given. On the basis of the isospin symmetry of n-barn and p-barp interactions, we make use of the results obtained to verify the values of the p-barp-annihilation cross section for multiplicity n/sub c//sub h/less than or equal to6 obtained previously with use of model assumptions.
