The validity of the Wess-Zumino action in chiral Schwinger model

Journal Article · · Mod. Phys. Letters B; (United States)
The authors quantize the chiral Schiwnger model with the Wess-Zumino action by using BJL (Bjorken-Johnson-Low) limit technique. In the bosonized chiral Schwinger model, the constraints are changed from second-class to first-class because of the Wess-Zumino action. The change gives a consistent quantization which is compatible with the Gauss constraint. In the fermionic chiral Schwinger, the constraints are second-class in the Poisson bracket level. These are transformed to first-class by considering Schwinger terms carefully.
