Determination of battery voltage for discharge testing electric storage batteries

The resistive load bank consists of several portable pieces of equipment. It was designed to discharge test 48 vdc, 125 vdc and 250 vdc batteries and to load test battery chargers. Two methods are described for determining the battery voltage at specific load currents. One method is theoretical and the other is experimental. Subsequently, the amount of load bank resistance is determined in order to maintain the required discharge current. Finally, the operating procedure for the load bank is described.
