A thermal resistant panel is described comprising two panes of glass positioned closely spaced apart in substantially parallel relation to each other. Spherical glass bead spacers are positioned between the two panes of glass to maintain the spacing while minimizing the thermal conduction between the panes. A continuous glass joint around the periphery of the panel seals the edges of the two panes together.
