The authors examine the results of investigations into the influence of modifier glasses based on the oxides P2O5 and B2O3 on the electrophysical properties of ferroelectric-piezoelectric ceramic materials consisting of complex solid solutions of lead zirconate titanate, LZT (PKR-15, PKD-484). Borate and phosphate glasses were used because they have lower softening temperatures and lower viscosities than silicate and germanate glasses of analogous cationic composition. It is determined that by the selection of the optimal ratio of the glass-forming oxides it is possible to vary at will the combination of electrophysical parameters of piezoceramic materials, something which is of interest to designers of various functional electronic devices.
