A reference guide for IGVIEW, an IGES-compatible (Initial Graphics Exchange Specification) geometry system

This report provides an introduction to the Initial Graphics Exchange Specification (IGES)-compatible code called IGVIEW. This software is used to display, edit, and analyze two-dimensional IGES formatted geometry. IGVIEW was written to comply with IGES Version 4.0, which is the current national geometry standard. This report is intended to serve as a reference manual for IGVIEW users. It contains a description of all possible commands and how to execute them. It details how to execute the code, read in a geometry file, and write a geometry file. There is also a discussion about what types of computer systems and terminals the current version of IGVIEW will support. The procedures for developing a material library are shown, and a short example library is provided.
