Transient pressure behavior of naturally fractured reservoirs

Conference · · Soc. Pet. Eng. AIME, Pap.; (United States)
OSTI ID:6196858

The naturally fractured reservoir model presented by Warren and Root was extended to improve analysis of field data and to account for practical well-bore and reservoir conditions. These conditions include well-bore storage and damage, and constant producing pressure in infinite systems. Finite reservoirs were investigated to define pseudo-steady state and long time reservoir behavior. The study is discussed with respect to mathematic development and idealizations, limiting forms of reservoir behavior, infinite reservoirs, and closed reservoirs. 17 references.
