Absolute and relative cross sections for charge transfer of Cl/sup +/ in Xe have been measured by merging-beam technique. A wide range of collision energy is used, from 1 to 900 ev. The implication of lasing action in mixtures of HCL and Xe using this reaction are discussed. (AIP)
