A physical oceanographic field program was carried out in the Bering Sea marginal ice zone (MIZ) as part of an integrated research effort addressing air-ice-water interactions in the MIZ and relating these interactions to fate and transport of OCS-related pollutants. This report describes and discusses the temperature, salinity, and current observations and relates the conditions summarily to past work and to current hypotheses concerning regional processes.
